BODY OF CHRIST MINISTRY FOUNDERS

While attending a back country revival, Pat and his wife Ginger, were baptized in the Holy Spirit.  At that instant, their lives, goals and priorities changed forever.  Increased hunger for the Lord resulted in their attending numerous Bible classes, conferences and revivals.  Teaching, preaching, and serving the Lord became their passion.  They’ve held numerous leadership and ministerial roles in several congregations during the past 13 years.

OUR MISSION

Jesus is reconciling humans to God, to each other, and to the entire creation.  He is breaking down divisions between Jew and Gentile, slave and free, male and female. He is tearing down walls that separate His church.  Therefore, we are committed to providing a safe place for spiritual growth; and dedicated to providing opportunities for the entire Body of Christ to gather, fellowship, and encourage one another.

OUR BODY OF CHRIST MINISTRY

Over a period of many years, I said “NO” to God on several occasions.  He was persistent though, and He kept tugging at my heart to help unite His church.  It seemed that I was too busy or I felt unqualified to be a part of the plan He had for me.  So, even though I knew in my heart that I should step out in faith, I still said “NO”.

One quiet night as my wife and I slept peacefully, I heard a train engine speeding towards our house.  Within seconds, it had crashed into our room and the walls of our home were exploding into pieces.  Terrified, I sat up in bed to hear a booming voice say, “Unite My Church!”  Awakened by my panicked actions, Ginger sat up beside me and whispered, “What is wrong, is someone in our house?”  Realizing that she hadn’t heard a thing, I felt that I’d just heard from God.  He had finally gained my full attention and I knew that I must take action.

The very next day, I told my story to several clergymen.  They agreed that the 20 churches in our town of Douglas, WY had very little to do with each other.  In addition, they admitted that walls had grown up between the different denominations and those walls divided the Body of Christ.  My mentor, Pastor Frank Wiederrecht, advised that I start with the men.  So, I began a men’s breakfast that rotated among the churches.  Ginger also answered God’s call and was led to manage a store called Helping Hands.  That store collected unwanted items from our community, sold those items and used all the proceeds to help those in need.  Over the next 9 years, volunteers from 11 congregations worked together at that store and participated in numerous other Body of Christ events.  Not only did the men’s breakfast thrive, but eventually women’s prayer groups and even youth groups were successful.  An interdenominational medical team formed and they traveled on world missions.  Indeed, those 11 churches worked together and gave a powerful united witness to the town of Douglas, WY!  Jesus IS alive and well and the Body of Christ CAN work together to accomplish good works in His name!

In 2018, we retired from our secular occupations and moved to Custer, SD.  Here, we prayed for guidance as to where our ministry should go.  God led us to use the family ranch as a safe place where the Body of Christ can meet.  Under His direction, we facilitate Christ centered events including the Black Granite Retreat, where people from around the USA come to fellowship.  We are amazed at what the Holy Spirit does here and we feel blessed to have seen the lives of countless people touched in very special ways.

OUR CORE BELIEFS

The Bible is the inspired Word and infallible Truth of God.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13)

God created the universe and everything in it.

(Genesis 1, 2:1-3)

God exists in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(Acts 2:32-33)

The fall of mankind came from Adam’s transgression, and so, sin entered the world.

(Romans 3:10, 3:23)

Jesus, the Son of God, gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God.

(Romans 5:14; 1 John 3:8; Hebrews 10:12)

Salvation is a free gift from God to man, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative by grace through our faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God.

(Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–10).

Eternal life in Heaven can be gained through our Godly sorrow and repentance from our sins

(2 Corinthians 7:10), proclaiming Jesus as our Lord, believing in our hearts that He has risen (John 3:16; Romans 10:9) and by subsequently being reborn into a spiritual life (John 3:3-7).

Many will choose to deny Jesus and hold fast to their sins.  These will receive eternal death in hell.

(Matthew 7:13-14; Revelation 19-20)

Gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to every member of the Body of Christ today.  These gifts should be sought after, practiced and used to help others.  (1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
